Calling Identification by Computer

The system is comprised of an electronic circuit that performs the communication between the telephone line and computer, and by software developed for windows, which handles incoming calls. This system was initially developed for a electronic security company that receives calls from the central alarm installed at the locations monitored.

The system works as follows:

  • The monitored environment is violated. The alarm panel installed at the site identifies the invasion and makes a call through the telephone line for the electronic security company.
  • Electronic security company receives the call via the electronic circuit connected to the telephone line.
  • The electronic circuit sends the caller ID, through the serial port, to software installed on your computer.
  • The software on your computer receives the calling ID, accesses a database and print a map for the address associated with the call.
  • The system´s operator, with the map on hands, provides staff to go at the location where the alarm was triggered.
